Specialize a rule to create a variant of the rule that can be triggered only conditionally. The created rule is resolved and active only when the specified conditions are met. Specialization or circumstancing allows us to address dynamic business requirements without changing the core logic every time.
Use one of the specialization forms when you want to keep the same name as an existing record but modify the context or add a circumstance that will affect rule resolution.
You use a Specialization form to copy an existing record's functionality to a new record with the same name (identifier). You decide whether the new record will have a different context, configuration, or circumstance definitions applied.
Follow these steps to complete and submit the form:
Note: Because the Specialization forms share most of the fields and functionality on the Create form, only exceptions and special cases are outlined in this topic.
